ProfileSIS sponsored a local family music festival in Stonehaven organised by Ma Simpsons music shop, ‘Party in the Park’.
The all-day event took place on Sunday, July 26, at the towns Mineralwell Park with ProfileSIS named as one of the key sponsors as part of our corporate responsibility program, ProGress, which aims to give back to the community as the company grows.
The family music festival was in aid of ProfileSIS’s partner charity of the year, Aberdeen Cyrenians, who recieved all profits from the all-day event which includes music, food stalls and childrens entertainment. In addition, attendees are brought an item of tinned food as part of their entrance fee which was handed over to the Trussell Trust’s Aberdeenshire South food bank
Organisers selected Aberdeen Cyrenians as the events nominated cause after learning about the charity’s urgent funding appeal to support the continuation of its drop-in service after the charity made a call for help after a lack of funding threatened to close valuable resource which helps more than 200 vulnerable people every week. The charity has since been inundated with donations and support which has allowed a reduced service to continue.
The event was a great success, raising over £1000 for charity and the annual event welcomed local bands such as TOTICO, Hoodoo Zephyr and singer songwriter Craig John Davidson, agreeing to play for free in support of the good causes.
Also on stage over the course of the day was Sam Geddes and Lewis Fraser, the Callum Cruickshank band, Leighann Esslemont and band, Emerald Sundays, Jamie Rodden, Nigel Don MSP and children’s favourite Sharky Sharky.
